A chess tournament-fundraiser in hopes of destigmatizing mental health and raising money for the child and adolescent mental health unit in Sault Area Hospital.

Tournament
A 7 round chess tournament, with 20 minutes per player.
Closing Ceremony
Awards will be given out for best players depending on age groups (U-13, U-17, Open)
Tournament Information
Entrance Fee: 20$ per person.
Format: 7 rounds of 20 minute games, in a swiss pairing system.
Experience Required: There is not a specific amount of required experience, however you will not be able to receive any help during a game and should be able to checkmate with solely a king and a queen.
Ruleset Specifics: Touch Rule is in effect, if you touch a piece you must move it. Once you let go of a piece, you may not change your move. Please refrain from unnecessary talking during games.
